The company will offer a substantial discount on a service (usually a tune up) knowing that 1. the low price will make the phones ring and 2. the service is most always a bait and switch. Any tech worth his pocket protector will ALWAYS find something wrong with a computer. Thus increasing the total amount due. That's how the scam works.
